The New Birth

The new birth is a reality. You must experience it in order to get what heaven has to offer you. Yes, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN. The new birth of the human spirit. (You may have heard your spirit referred to as your soul.) To be born again, you must believe:

1) That Jesus is the Son of God

2) That He died on the cross of your sins

3) God raised Him from the dead by His Mighty Power.

A) First, you believe that with your heart (your spirit, not the organ that pumps blood).

B) Then, confess with your mouth according to Romans chapter 10, verses 9-10. (see below.)

C) When you do that, YOU ARE SAVED!

Romans 10:9-10. 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Jesus told Nicodemus who came to him by night. “YOU MUST BE BORNAGAIN.” John3:3,5

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto the, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter in to the kingdom of God.

So this is what takes place when you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Jesus comes into your hear (His Spirit comes) to live by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word.

II Corinthians 5:17 states Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

You see, when Jesus comes in to your Heart, the Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of God. Consider the following scriptures:

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself bearth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Now you know what it means to BE BORN AGAIN.

At this point, in order to eliminate confusion, I will tell you

WHAT THE NEW BIRTH IS NOT

The new birth is not 1) church membership, 2) water baptism, 3) singing in the choir, 4) saying prayers, 5) observing religious duties, 6) the Orthodoxy of faith [just conforming to the Christian faith as represented in the creeds of the early Church], 7) going to church, 8) reading the Bible, 9) living a good life, or 10) doing the best you can. It is none of these, nor any of the many other things people may be trusting in to save them.

Jesus stated clearly, “I AM the only way to the Father.” John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Then he said in John 10:28-29

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and the shall never perish neither shall any pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

Your Choice

Once you come in to the kingdom, you can trust your Father with your life. He will always do a Father’s part. Everything He said He would do and everything He has done for you in Christ Jesus is true.┬áHe never lies, so he will do what he promised through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus the Christ.

So come on; decide to learn about this new life that you have in Christ; choose to learn how to live it to the fullest. He, Holy Spirit, is ever ready to help you.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY

Prayer of Salvation Dear Heavenly Father, I believe with all of my heart that Jesus has been raised from the dead. With an open heart I receive your Word, and I repent of sin. I renounce the past. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. I receive my forgiveness. I receive the new birth, cleansed and washed in the Word and in the Precious blood of Jesus. Thank you for saving me! Fill me with Your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
