Everyone has a life to live. The very best Way to live your life is to find out what God’s plan is and follow it. His word has directions and solutions for every situation that you may face in life. The following Psalm of David is an introduction to the results of living for God.
Psalm 63:1-8 KJV A Psalm of David
1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
It seems that David was onto something rich and powerful. He realized the goodness and awesomeness of God and acknowledged the importance of putting Him first in his life.
Likewise, the greatest thing you can do for yourself, I believe, is to put God and His word first. Once you become a become a believer and you are filled with Holy Spirit, you can use the word to learn to live a life that glorifies God. John 1:1 AMP
“IN THE beginning before all time was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.”
The life you chose to live is ultimately up to you. Since everyone will to choose one of two ways to live life, I believe the first and best way is to live it through the word of God. You will have help when you choose God’s way. Psalm 32:8 AMP I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV[5] Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Studying and meditating on the word will bring enlightenment (Ephesians chapter 1).
The other choice in life which is a very unwise choice, is to live life without the God/Jesus/Holy Spirit/Word factor. It is to live by human or satanic influences. It is the direct opposite of what Paul taught in Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
This second choice is doing your own thing your own way, or by natural, carnal means. That lifestyle leads to sin, but through Jesus Christ, the word tells us we are free. Consider, for example, Romans 6:20-23 KJV
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. …
To eliminate all natural, carnal, devilish influences, go to [15] “the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus”. You do this on purpose because [16] “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:14-17 KJV) That’s how you start living your life by the word of God.
In this inspired word, according to John 16:13, “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH: ….” How can this inspired word help you become successful in your life? It can because it is the only “truth” there is. The Bible says so in the following scriptures:
(John 17:17 KJV) Sanctify them through thy truth: THY WORD IS TRUTH.
Psalm 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever.
Now look at this “truth” in the Amplified Version. Psalm 119:160 (AMP) The sum of Your word is truth [the total of the full meaning of all Your individual precepts]; and every one of Your righteous decrees endures forever. …
Imbibe, in your spirit what the word has for you in your quest to live a successful, fulfilled life. Allow the word to teach you how to live a life that glorifies God. I want to encourage you to live your life by the word of God every second even to the millisecond of the day. There is such a gold mine of wisdom, worship peace, joy in the Holy Ghost, glory in the word that you will have to pray for directions as to where to start. You have to look inside your heart and find out what you are graced to do. Then on purpose, focus on that being led by the Spirit that is in you. How can you do this? Be a doer of the word that you diligently read, study, meditate, daily (James 1:22-25)James 1:21-25 KJV
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.… [25] But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. …
By going to the Bible, the Word of God, you can find the true life that God has designed for you. John 1:4 “In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” always go to the word as you seek a focused path in life. It is the best and only productive, life-fulfilling way to live.
Hebrews 12:1-2 AMP [1] … us, [2] Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. …
It is through a diligent, prayerful, spirit led study of the word that you imbibe or soak in the truth presented here and a wealth of knowledge for living your life by the word.
I pray for you what Paul prayed of the Ephesians:
Ephesians 1:17-23 KJV[17] That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places , [21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: [22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, [23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. …Amen.
