Dear Partner,

It is September already and very soon the beauty of fall will be displayed through the trees and other vegetation in God’s magnificent creation. The temperature will be milder because fall is right around the corner. This change is inevitable. It was designed by God. It is normal.

In the same way the REDEMPTION that Jesus paid for for us is available and will show up delivering us from every form of darkness because He is light.

John 1:4-5 (HCSB) 4 Life was in Him, and that life was the light of men. 5 That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not overcome it.

This month I want to talk about our REDEMPTION* through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Believers must settle it in their heart that God has redeemed us from the curse of the law; that means there IS no more curse for the children of God.

Redemption means we have been purchased by the blood of Jesus and the full price has been paid for our freedom. Therefore, the curse has no right to push its agenda off on us with conditions and baggage that, left unchecked, will destroy us.

The Scripture says: Colossians 1:13-14 (HCSB) 13 He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves. 14 We have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, in Him.

Colossians 1:14 TPT

For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood.

Partner, that’s our freedom. Now, God wants his children to stop calling things that are a curse normal. It’s not normal

To be sick

To be broke

To be in poverty

To be stressed out.

These are curses. However, many Christians deal with them as  a normal part  of their daily life and activities. I am emphasizing, because the Word says so, that BELIEVERS MUST SETTLE IT IN THEIR HEART that listening to the wrong voices is not normal. The Bible says “My sheep know my voice and a stranger they will not follow” (John 10:5,27). Many scriptures such as Ezekiel 34:9 admonishes us to “Hear the word of the Lord.”

Born again believers must be aware that the devil desires to get a hold of their minds causing  them to think wrong. If unhindered by the Holy Ghost

Thinking wrong

Turns into saying wrong

Saying wrong turns into doing wrong.

But, glory hallelujah, because of our REDEMPTION through Christ Jesus, Satan has no claim on us regardless of what we may have done (or have not done) in the past. He and all of his cohorts want to make us think we shouldn’t be free of the curse; but because of our redemptive rights, he has no authority to instruct us in any area of our lives.

We know to whom we belong. We know that God is the only One who tells us what to do. James 4:7 KJV “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That gives believers the right to reign in life and be prosperous. When believers exercise their redemptive rights, it frees them from every curse.

How do we learn to exercise our redemptive rights? By going to the manual, the Word (2 Tim. 2:15; Ps. 119:11), and by listening to Holy Spirit our helper, comforter, and standby (John 14:16 AMPC).

Holy Spirit will teach us how to live victorious no matter what we face in life. We have to go to the Word when situations come into our life, and we don’t know what to do in our own wisdom and strength (1 Cor. 1:30; Col. 2:3).

As you study and meditate the Word, settle it in your heart, “I am not cursed.”

Why? “Christ redeemed me from the curse.” God redeemed us, so He could bring us into the kingdom with Him. We have been made an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus where there is

Nothing missing

Nothing broken.

He has granted us full rights to live out of His kingdom. While we’re here on this earth, He wants us to learn how to operate in that kingdom. Let’s look at the following scriptures

Colossians 1:12-14

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet

to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who

hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated

us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have

redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Galatians 3:13-14 KJV

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made

a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on

a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

What a REDEMPTION we have! The curse is gone. The blessing is here.

(Christ redeemed us from the curse “so that the blessing of Abraham might be upon … [us].”) When satan comes with his baggage, we can say it is written, “Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law.” I encourage you to continually activate your REDEMPTION by diligently being a doer of the Word.

 James 1:18,22 HCSB

18 By His own choice, He gave us a new birth by the message of

truth so that we would be the firstfruits of His creatures.

22 But be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving

yourselves,

James 1:25 TPT

25 But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of

liberty are fascinated by and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it—they experience God’s blessing in all that they

do!

Yours in His Redemptive Power,

Bishop Jimmy Jones
