From the Pastor’s Desk
This is Pastor Jones again at Christian Fellowship Church. I want you to know that God has supernaturally arranged your life for success. (Part 3)
Our Foundation scripture is Psalm 91:9-10 TPT
When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High,
our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm.
How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us?
As I said before, there is so much going on in the world. Jesus said that these days would come, but I want you to know that God has supernaturally arranged our lives so we can live on this earth and be successful, protected, prosperous, and conquerors. Yes, there are challenges. There is an enemy of darkness, but God through Jesus Christ, has arranged to take us out of darkness. His plan brings us into the kingdom with His dear Son. In that kingdom, we have access to all that God is. We have access to success in life.
His Word Is Light
The Word teaches us we are heirs with Christ. Romans 8:17 KJV says “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
We were made joint heirs. God made Jesus an heir to all that He is. Then He made us joint heirs with Jesus. That’s a supernatural union.
Because of this supernatural union we can walk in the light of His word. When we do, we have nothing to fear or dread because God keeps and protects that which is His own. He is so faithful to watch over His Word day and night. He said if you call unto Him, He will answer you (Jer 33:3). Get to know Him through His Word and prayer. Become intimate with Jesus, the living Word. Join forces with God for a successful life, by praying according to His Word.
The Bible says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” (Psalm 119:130 KJV) Light always dispels darkness. When God’s word enters into your heart, it gives light, so you can understand what He is saying. What you understand, you can do.
God’s Word is a continual life-giving light. When you receive that Word in your heart, it will educate your spirit with the revelation knowledge of who God is. You can’t just know God in your mind. The word won’t work in your mind; it has to be in your spirit. You contact this natural world with your mind, but you connect with God with your spirit. The Word of God is just like a seed. You can’t take a seed and lay it on concrete and expect it to sprout and grow. The seed will just lie there. It has to be planted in soil. So it is with the Word. It must be “planted” in your spirit, because for the believer, that is where the life of God is. The Word will renew your mind, so you can think in line with His Word. God thinks success for your life.
Put It Into Practice
We have help through the Holy Spirit. He lives in our spirit to teach us these things. When you seek Him, He will give illumination to your spirit and mind. Once revelation knowledge gets in your spirit, your mind can receive it from your spirit. As you spend time meditating on the Word, you can put into practice what you have learned from revelation knowledge of the Holy Spirit.
James 1:22 KJV tells us, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
When you get revelation knowledge of the Word, you have to put it into practice. You have to become a doer of that Word. If you hear the Word and don’t ever do what it says, you will be deceiving yourself. The Word won’t do you any good until it is acted upon.
Renew your Mind
How do you act on the Word? Be led by your spirit and train your mind to think God’s thoughts.
Hebrews 5:14 KJV “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
You train your mind and senses how to determine what is good and what is evil by filling your heart with the Word. That way, your mind won’t always be full of evil because you have trained it to think God’s thoughts. Learn to reject negative thoughts. Practice thinking on the Word of God. When you get your mind lined up with the Word and your spirit is filled with the Word, then the Word will work supernaturally for you.
These are instructions to teach you how to live by faith in the Word of God. If you try to live in this world solely by natural means: that is by your soul, mind, will, emotions, and your physical body, satan will whip you every time. You are no match for an evil spirit through your soul and your body. That’s why you had to be born again. When you were born again, the life, power, and nature of God in Jesus that defeated the devil entered your spirit (2 Cor. 5:17). You became a new creation like Jesus–the One God raised from the dead. So train your mind to think God’s thoughts. People who have trained their mind by the Word, can eat strong meat like the scripture says. A baby has to drink milk, but eating strong meat means you are matured in the things of God. Once you mature with a renewed mind, you can walk with God and there won’t be a fight or struggle to believe God has arranged your life for success.
Guard Your Lips
His perfect will from the beginning was “very good” (Gen 1:31). It was for supernatural success. Many people are missing the success God has planned for their life because of their words that are negative or evil.
Psalm 34:12-14 KJV
12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Do you desire life? Life with all of its goodness? All that life is to the full? A life with all your needs met, peace, health, and prosperity with nothing missing; nothing lacking; nothing broken? Well, God–through His Word–has supernaturally arranged for you to have that kind of God life.
If you want to live long on the earth and see good, say what God says; don’t say ungodly things or talk unbelief. Don’t go around saying things like: “That tickled me to death. ” “I’m dying to go.” or “I got lucky.” All of that is ungodly and unbelief. There is no such thing as luck when it comes to a believer. It’s blessings and curses. Line your speech up with the word of God, then believe it. Once you believe it, stand on it. Don’t back down. Eph 6:13 “…and having done all, to stand.”
Hold on to it. If you pray and ask God for something: healing, prosperity, money, or something for your family, believe you receive it. A godly person holds fast to what they say when it’s based on the Word–the truth (John 17:17). When circumstances and problems show up, don’t you change and start talking like you feel. Don’t turn from expressing godly faith and start talking unbelief. The Bible says’ “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.” (Heb 3:12) . A godly person keeps saying what God says.
The following scriptures explain the power of speaking negative words or faith filled words.
Proverbs 6:2 KJV “Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” You snare your ownself when you speak wrong words because words either free you or put you in bondage. Words put you over, or they put you under.
Proverbs 18:21 KJV “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” [harvest]
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it…” That means if you love to talk about your problems and your bad feelings, that’s the fruit you will get [harvest]. So you must not talk loosely. Since your tongue has the power to speak death and life, learn to speak life. Satan is constantly trying to get you to speak death by talking against the Word of God. He wants to make you speak about how you feel. “I feel bad,” but the word says that you are strong, healed, and more than a conqueror. You are not talking the Word when you’re trying to tell everyone about your problems and how bad you feel. Speak life. The word says “by His stripes you were healed” (Isa 53:5). The word also tells us “we are overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony” (Rev 12:11). Start saying “I watch my tongue.” “I speak life to all of my circumstances.” Speak in line with what God’s word says. Think and say continually “I have a supernaturally successful life”
It is God’s perfect will for us to succeed and be prosperous in life. Allow the word of God to penetrate your heart and mind so you can receive all that He has for you.
